Hi there,

How do we rule the midi timing delay, here in Ableton Live, the synth played too early. As far as the midi device is switch off in Live, I cannot modify it in Live.

Thanks,
JC

Ableton Live (and most popular DAW hosts) has it's own offset tools if you need it. Or, you can try adjusting your audio card latency settings to find a better result. The software does not use any settings that can improve your response as this is all handled in the DAW, as it should be.

Also, you can expect a small amount of latency (2-4ms) from the software as it has to process several parameters at once and send them off to the MIDI port. It's usually sufficient for most applications, but in the event it is not, you can try other routing options (for Windows, you can use a MIDI Loopback Device or Virtual MIDI cable, Mac has the AIC 'Audio/MIDI Setup' tools), and set it up so the DAW can send note on/off, pitchbend, and modulation wheel data straight to the synth MIDI port instead of routing it through the editor. Using the Virtual MIDI device, the editor will also have a connection straight to the same synth port for just the parameter changes.

The Setup Guide may also offer some advice on setting things up for your specific DAW.
